Broadwater Public School is set to return for Term 1, Day 1 in 2024. A huge congratulations to Emma Crether, Danielle Turner, and the P&C for fighting hard, just like the St. Joseph's community did last year.

Our flood-affected communities should not have to fight so hard for all levels of government to simply do the right thing and provide what was promised, from the $790M in resilient homes grants to Tranche 2 funding that never arrived, free rubbish removal for flood recovery when needed, and ensuring schools and essential services return efficiently.

We need investment in the floodplain where families have lived for generations, to protect people's life savings in their homes and businesses. It's time for change.
